  The Feed-in Tariff scheme (FITs) is a new government backed scheme designed to promote the use of renewable energy installations and low carbon technology.

• » Will I require planing permission?
  Solar roof installations do not (in general) require planning permission as they fall under permitted development rights. There are sometimes exceptions to this rule for properties that sit within areas of outstanding natural beauty. If your house is within such an area then it would be advisable to contact your local authority to check on their policy.
• » What happens if I decide to move house?
  Unfortunately, as the solar pv system is fixed installation on the roof of your property, you cannot take it with you when you move. However, having a solar photovoltaic system installed can significantly raise the value of your home when it comes to selling.
